This one is different from the 1951 Eroica Kleiber recorded with the Concertgebouw Orchestra (where the first movement exposition repeat was not observed).I prefer this VPO recording to the earlier Amsterdam one for the tighter control here and the sense of inevitability generated by his rhythmic control.
