Guido Cantelli should have been the true worthy successor to Toscanini, if not for his early tragic death.His existing recordings are mostly in unsatisfactory sound (so many airchecks or bootlegs). This one is different. In fact all the pieces in this CD are excellent.
A true bargain of a disc. Hats off to EMI.
